Security and cooperation

We are a Danish organization of volunteers who, in cooperation with and private organizations, work to inprove the physical safety and security of the citizens of Denmark, where the Muslim population is affected.


According to to the categorization in the National Risk assessment of the Danish Emergency Management Agency (Beredskabsstyrelsen), we work at the top two levels, where it is for life and health.

Our work

ACUTE CIVILIAN PREPAREDNESS

for terrorist-like incidents, hate crimes and other life-threatening or health-threatening situations.


LONG-TERM CIVIL EMERGENCY

AND KNOWLEDGE CENTRE

two prevent gang crimes and Jewish persecution-like conditions.

Under these two main areas we have 4 focus areas.

1. Terrorism
We help prevent Muslims with political or religious motives from committing attacks on civilian citizens in society.
We assist with effective communications and assistance to authorities if a terrorist incident takes place with or against Muslims.
2. Political persecution
We help to avoid politicians and opinion leaders persecuting the Muslim minority and legitimizing hate crimes against Muslims. Caricatures, Quran burnings and bans on Muslim rituals are examples of persecutions.
3. Gang crime
We help prevent gang crime where Muslims are involved.
Our goal is fewer young people with Muslim backgrounds to get into violent and drug crimes in future.
4. Hate crimes
We help tolerant the fight against hate crimes against Muslims and mosques and to document these. Physical hate crimes often affect Muslim women, mosques, businesses and Muslim graveyards.
Our identity

Islam means peace, and peace is an important part of our identity and self-understanding as Muslims. We believe that it is our responsibility, in cooperation with relevant social institutions and organisations, to make a significant contribution to peace and security for all people.

Activities
  • Emergency exercises for mosques and free schools
    Courses and exercises for mosques and Muslim free schools in case of attacks or threats. Courses are held in cooperation with the Danish Emergency Management Agency. We also work for the involvement of mosques and free schools as resources in national preparedness.
  • Nationalt beredskabsnetværk
    Til brug i tilfælde af terror, epedimier eller lignende etablerer og vedligeholder vi et netværk, så kommunikation kan ske så effektivt som muligt til alle de sproggrupper som muslimer repræsenterer.
  • Videnscenter og koordinering
    We collect and process the documentation about terror, political persecution, gang crime and hate crimes in Denmark.
  • Politisk analyse
    We prepare analyses of the political prohibitions and legitimations that may have an impact on the physical safety of Muslims in Denmark.
  • Årskonference om sikkerhed og samarbejde
    We hold annual conferences on security and cooperation in Denmark. The conference picks up on recent research, what has happened and what can be done.
